Racing Unlimited Rocks Daytona!
3/13/2010, For immediate release: Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, Florida USA Cody Rodenborn had his first of two wins on the speedway, Monday March 1 2010. Rodenborn rode a racingunlimited.com sponsored RS125 Grand Prix motorcycle to victory, in AHRMA's "Sound of Singles Two-Stroke" Roadracing class. Andrew Cowell, on a racingunlimited.com Kawasaki Ninja 500 had a great run of his own Monday. Cowell came from the 21st spot on the starting grid to battle all the way up to a 4Th place finish, in the 'Battle Of Twins Formula III" 8 lap sprint race. Cowell was new to the machine (as a replacement rider), but quickly found his stride and laid down some excellent lap times. Rodenborn then followed up with another win in his class on Tuesday March 2ND, besting riders from as far away as London, England. Rodenborn was interviewed post-race, by legendary track announcer Richard Chambers. Rodenborn thanked his sponsors, as well as his father Alan Rodenborn, for bringing him to Daytona. Chambers quizzed the younger Rodenborn about the possibility of building a 450 Moto machine for the 4-Stroke singles classes, and was assured that those plans were already in the works. In addition to Racing Unlimited Kawasaki of Fort Dodge, Iowa (racingunlimited.com), Rodenborn is sponsored by Fulmer Helmets (fulmerhelmets.com). Cody Rodenborn is a 21 year old motorcycle technician, from Fort Dodge, Iowa. Cody also competes regularly in Motocross. Andrew Cowell owns a metal fabrication business, in Bolivia, NC. Andrew is originally from Australia, but has now chosen the U.S. as his home. Cowell is a long-time AHRMA racer, and is likely to ride again this season for the Racing Unlimited team. The next AHRMA race for the team will be at Elkhart Lake Wisconsin's "Road America" course, the weekend of June 12-13, 2010.
